Time and time again, chiropractic care has been proven to yield excellent results for spine-related conditions. By focusing on chiropractic functional neurology, NLCC has elevated this level of care and results. Every condition is treated with chiropractic adjustments combined with rehabilitative exercises to resolve and improve each patient’s overall well-being. Some of the conditions treated are: neck and back pain/issues, sciatica, peripheral neuropathies, numbness/tingling in arms/hands and legs/feet, shoulder/elbow/wrist issues, hip/knee/ankle/foot issues, sports injuries, auto injuries, whiplash and more.
Neck & Back Pain
According to Harvard Medical School, 1 in 10 people are affected with neck pain, and 80% of Americans will experience back pain at some point in their life. At NeuroLogic Chiropractic Center, we take a whole new approach to address these issues. Not only is chiropractic care used as a means of care, it is combined with a vast array of innovative techniques to obtain superior results. Patients receive care that helps rehab the associated brain pathways/areas that contribute to controlling the spine. Our patients receive care to help restore their balance, core, and visual pathways to promote longer-lasting and improved results.
The sciatic nerves run down the backs of both legs and into the feet to control the muscles of the lower legs and to provide sensation to the thighs, legs and feet. According to the American Chiropractic Association, sciatica generally affects people between the ages of 30-50 as a result of general wear and tear, not a specific injury. For decades, chiropractic care combined with lifestyle modifications (ergonomics) has yielded great results in treating sciatica.
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome: Numbness/Tingling in Arms/Hands and/or Legs/Feet
Numbness and tingling in extremities can be the result of a vast array of causes, thoracic outlet being one of them. Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) can be due to tight musculature in the neck and shoulder that compresses important structures, including arteries, veins or nerves that control the arm and its related sensations. With adjustments to the neck and upper back combined with soft tissue techniques to stretch musculature, TOS is often resolved. Similar situations can occur in the lower extremities, such as piriformis syndrome. Some other causes of numbness and tingling in the extremities include carpal tunnel syndrome, ulnar nerve compression, herniated discs, tibial nerve entrapment, tarsal tunnel syndrome, diabetes, vitamin B12 deficiency, and more. NLCC works with all of these conditions to resolve numbness and tingling in the extremities. If traditional chiropractic care doesn’t provide the expected results, NLCC will dig deeper to find the root causes of the issues.
Shoulder/Elbow/Wrist Issues & Hip/Knee/Ankle/Foot Issues
A variety of extremity issues often go unresolved or only improve marginally with standard care. At NLCC, we strive to help patients get answers and results. Many of these issues can be resolved by combining extremity adjustments, manual therapy and exercises. These conditions include shoulder tendonitis, frozen shoulder and shoulder weakness. Additional extremity issues include golfer’s elbow, tennis elbow and many more.
Acute and chronic sports injuries are commonly treated in our office.
Auto Accidents & Whiplash Injuires
Whiplash treatment goes far beyond rest and a neck brace. Treatment in our office not only includes chiropractic adjustments, but manual therapy, physical exercises and neck proprioceptive exercises to re-educate how the neck works.
We combine traditional chiropractic care with the most advanced neurological treatments available in the market to create a customized plan that will maximize your recovery.
