One of the biggest advantages NLCC has over other practitioners is the ability to analyze, assess and incorporate eye function into overall care plans. Our eyes play a key role in our ability to function throughout the day. Even when it comes to chiropractic concerns that deal with spinal issues, the eyes are essential, because they are the main component in relaying information for spinal segments to move in perfect harmony. When we bend over, our eyes move upward to relay the rate of speed we’re bending at. If our eyes do not move smoothly during this upward motion, then they are going to relay poor information to the related spinal segments. This faulty eye movement can result in lower back pain or spasms. Improving how the eyes function when moving upward coupled with chiropractic adjustments yields excellent results in terms of eliminating associated back pain. Eye function is also strongly related to conditions such as ADHD, Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, and more. The eyes not only tell the doctor which movements are poor, they also tell the doctor which areas of the brain are/may be dysfunctional. With this information, these areas and movements are targeted for rehab by using various eye exercises. The Visual Eyes system allows for both pre- and post-analysis to monitor patient progress.

The goggles allow for observation and video recording of both eyes as a dizzy patient is being tested or while performing vestibular rehabilitation therapy. Video and audio are recorded into a single computer file, and the two eye images are displayed side-by-side to give a clear view of any disconjugate eye movement.
